The traditional Wool Tour is an invitation to learn about local peolple's life in Patagonia steppe. The idea is to show you and make you participate in the traditional sheep related activities that are carried out by the sheep breeders in the countryside.

Rescuing culture with craftswomen, is the opportunity to discover the ancient techniques of wool spinning, natural dying and looom weaving. Your guides will be the women of the Cooperativa Gente de Sumuncura, who have learned these techniques from their ancestors for generations. The perfect invitation to interweave your life  with those who share theirs with the wind and silence.

Guanaco and Choique, masters of Patagonia steppe, offers you the opportunity to learn about these major figures of the local fauna, which had a central role in the native's culture and history. You will also be able to learn about the current situation of  these endangered species and the attempts being made by local producers to find a way  to give them a chance to survive: breeding Choiques and shearing wild Guanacos. An unforgettable experince to discover these ancient inhabitants of Patagonia.

  Patagonia Stones Flagstone mining is also an activity that gives the area its identity. Discover old quarries guided by the people who have dedicated their lives to the mining of  Flagstone and other materials. Listen to their stories and see where the Flagstone that covers the sidewalks of Patagonic towns and decorates houses around the world comes from.

It is one of the less inhabited regions of Argentina, where the spirit of Patagonia still prevails. The fascinating Meseta de Somuncura has been a Natural Protected Area since the late 1980s. It covers 3.5 million hectares. There are no roads or villages, just a few isolatated  "puestos" (rural houses), where sheep breeders live during the summer. Meseta Infinita provides meals and accomodation in all its tours and activities. Meals are based on the local culinary tradition, such as Patagonia typical lamb and home made bread and delicious desserts. Accomodation is provided depending on the tour or activity chosen: historical "casco de estancias" (estate's main house) such as one built by the English Crown at the beggining of the XX Century, casas rurales (rural houses) or tents.
