Productive culture
Our identity is rooted in what we do and what we do has to do with our identity. We invite you to a journey in which you will discover the secrets of our activities: sheep breeding, wild guanaco management, wool handcrafts and stone mining.

INTRODUCTION
This tour is focused on a fundamental aspect of our culture: on what we do for a living, on what we know  because we have been carrying out these activities for generations.

Learn about the daily wool related activities that have been transmitted from generation to generation. The wool tour combines traditional rural chores from sheep breeding and shearing them to  craftswomen's skill of loom weaving, dying and knitting. You will have the chance to participate in a workshop with de women of the Cooperativa Gente de Sumuncura to learn some of these techniques.

Another interesting aspect of this tour is the productive activity based on two endangered species:Choique (patagonian ostrich) and Guanaco. Discover the fascinating world of two key participants in the history of the first settlers in the region.

Flagstone mining is also an activity that gives the area its identity . You will have the chance to visit flagstone quarries where different models are produced and exported for architectural and landscaping purposes.
